The Darnell School for Educational and Behavioral Services stands on four pillars of independence:
- Evidence Based Practice: All academic instruction is based upon evidence based strategies to promote optimal learning
- Learning in Community: Our campus encourages skill-building in the community
- Family-Centered: We work with you to identify those skills that are needed for your student to succeed at home
- Vocational Development: Your student will benefit from vocational, career development and self-management skills
Using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), our team of skilled teachers and clinicians partners with each family, assesses each student’s needs and develops individualized curricula that promote independence and skill development.
The Darnell School is part of the broad spectrum of services provided by HMEA, Inc., a non-profit organization that believes in the values, dreams and potential of people with developmental disabilities.
